Summary

How do you truly stand out in your industry?
Is it by using the same AI tools everyone else relies on? By copying the same strategies you see on your For You Page? Or by watering down your personality so much that you lose every part of what makes you you?

Nope. Nope. And absolutely not.

In today's episode, we're diving into why blending in has become such an easy trap for entrepreneurs and creators, and how it silently kills the momentum of your business. Copying trends, depending on the same tools as everyone else, and suppressing your natural personality all work against your long-term growth. Instead of helping you get noticed, these habits actually push you further into the background and weaken the connection you have with your audience.

This episode breaks down what it really means to stand out and why originality matters more than ever. We'll talk about how authenticity creates stronger engagement, how your personality is actually your greatest marketing advantage, and how to rebuild momentum by leaning into what makes your message unique.

Welcome back to the podcast, my friends. We're going to talk today about how do you stand out

0:16.4

when you feel like everybody's already doing what you do. Okay, so first of all, let me just say this. Like, oh, and also hi. Hi. Oh, I just scratched my very own podcast mic. Don't you love my podcast, Mike? Can you see it if you're watching on YouTube, by the way? It's very sparkly. It's very sparkly. It's very demur. Have you ever heard that on Instagram? I don't even know what I'm saying. Demure. It's a very weird word. Demir.

0:55.4

Let's start over because I don't even know what I'm saying. Okay. I love my podcast mic though. It's just beautiful. It's just a wrap. The sparkles are just a wrap. Sometimes I think about getting a new setup and then I'm like, why would I get a new setup when I really love my mic? Because it's beautiful. Other people have one of those mics that like hang from up above.

0:57.4

I don't really want that because I like this one.

0:57.4

I like how it's beautiful. Other people have one of those mics that like hang from up above. I don't really want that because I like this one.

1:04.9

I like how it sparkles. I just love it. It's fancy to me. But here's the deal. When women come to me in my coaching inside of she's equipped and they want to know like Jen, do I stand out because the market that I'm in,

1:14.6

the industry that I'm in, the industry niche, whatever is saturated. And first of all, I'm like,

1:22.6

nothing is really saturated. It's kind of one of those things and there's actually I think an

1:27.0

official word for it. It's like when you buy a red, and there's actually, I think, an official word for it.

1:27.8

It's like when you buy a red Jeep. And then suddenly you notice how many red jeeps there are out there in the world. And before that, you didn't even notice any red jeeps, right? So it's like when you're in an industry, when you are in a particular niche, then you just, you notice all the other people doing the same thing, okay?

1:45.9

So it's kind of like that.

1:48.1

Also, this is unsweetened iced tea.

1:54.3

Not that I feel the need to explain what I'm drinking to you guys, but for some reason I just always feel like I need to tell people, I don't drink soda.

1:58.3

It's kind of like, how do you know that somebody goes to CrossFit? Well, they will tell you that they go to CrossFit. How do you know people don't drink sugar? They will tell you they don't drink sugar. I don't drink soda. I gave up soda years and years and years ago. I will drink a soda once, maybe twice a year.

2:34.2

I'll do like one of those little mini cans. And I'm always like, gosh, it's just so sugary. I don't know why. I just, I don't like to drink my calories. I'm going to eat my calories. I'm not going to drink my calories. So this is unsweetened iced tea, which, by the way, McDonald's has the best unsweetened iced tea, but I did take my son,

2:40.3

Easton, who puts this lovely podcast on YouTube. I took him Chipotle today for lunch.

2:44.3

Hi, Easton. I just saw you. And so I'm drinking the unsweetened iced tea left over for my lunch.

2:50.4

Okay, so this is a deal. Most industries, they're not saturated. It's not like, it's not like the industry is such a. It's just that

2:54.2

you know all the other people in that industry or a section of them. You follow your competitors.

2:59.5

You follow people who are already doing what you're doing. So you're seeing, you know,
