| 0:52.0 | Dr. Heidi Simani went through a very difficult time |

| 0:57.7 | And you know, I know that all of you could relate to this |
| 1:00.8 | on some level because everyone has gone through something, some kind of |
| 1:06.2 | hardship at some point and this in particular blew me away. She was part of the Gulf disaster relief team for Hurricane Katrina. |
| 1:16.8 | She basically lived in a war zone for three months and through that I mean I'm |
| 1:22.1 | surprised she's not suffering from post-traumatic stress, |
| 1:25.0 | but she went through something horrific and the whole time was there to help others get out of that situation, |
| 1:32.0 | because she was working as a paramedic. |
| 1:35.0 | And during her experience, she not only wanted to help people, |
| 1:41.0 | but there is something in that that motivated her to become a naturopathic physician. |
| 1:48.6 | And so if you've ever had a hard time in your life or something's traumatized, you really listen to her words because |
| 1:56.2 | she shares how she was able to come out of the other side and then be able to survive medical school, naturopathic medical school, |
| 2:07.4 | and then be able to survive her residency and then be able to become an amazing doctor, being able to do that in the face of having been |
