About 40 years ago, soy milk, that's when it really started, oat milk, almond milk sort of came on to the market.

And it has exploded the last year or two with all of these studies that say if you drink

milk, you're going to get cancer. If you drink milk, your brain will explode. If you use dairy

products, men will never get an erection again. I mean, just on and on and on. It's amazing.

As a matter of fact, I just read a story that if you're in chronic pain,

then you're much more liable to suffer from dementia earlier. I mean, it goes on and on.

All right. So 40 years ago, it starts with soy. Last couple of years, this whole thing has exploded with now soy, oat, almond, and just cashew milk. I mean, just the entire panoply of nuts. And what the dairy industry did, and we know how powerful the dairy industry lobby is, it's been around for a very long time, and it's very powerful, particularly state, dairy

states, their senators and congresspeople have an enormous amount of power.

Is they fought for the word milk not to be used in any of these products.

I mean, we use it just a matter of course, soy milk, almond milk, et cetera.

Well, they were saying that the cartons cannot be labeled with the word milk.

It's not milk.

Milk is a dairy product.

It's that simple.

And it, I mean, the fights went on and on, and agencies came in, and lawsuits were filed.

And finally, the FDA just came in with a recommendation that is going to be accepted, probably,

unless the industry, the dairy industry,

just accepts the fact that milk is milk, whether it is from dairy products or it is from

the nuts and plants. I have no idea what else you can make milk out of. I'm assuming anything.

And what the FDA said is it's milk. You can call it milk. However, on the carton, it has to be clearly labeled that this is not a dairy

product. Other than that, you can call it milk. And even though, and here's what the FDA said,
