And we begin with someone trying to rewrite history.

Earlier this week, Vandals took a red can of paint to Plymouth Rock, the waterfront landmark

in Massachusetts that represents the Pilgrim's first steps on American soil back in 1620.

The suspects also targeted a seashell-shaped sign,

celebrating the upcoming 400th anniversary of their landing,

the Pilgrim Maiden's Statue, and the National Monument to the Four Fathers.

Police aren't sure who's to blame or why they would do what they did, but say they have plenty of security cameras to help them catch the culprits.

Maintenance crews have since scrubbed off the graffiti and city leaders say the outpouring of

concern has helped offset the shock of the vandalism itself.

A surprising turn of events in the race for president.

A new poll shows former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg

surging to 19% nationally among likely

Democratic voters. That's second only to Bernie Sanders and well ahead of the

rest of the pack. The strong showing helped Mr. Bloomberg qualify for his first ever presidential debate.

He won't have much time to prep, though.

He and at least five other candidates square off tonight in Las Vegas.

Even though he'll debate Mr. Bloomberg has yet to appear on a ballot.

He's skipped all the races so far and won't participate in the Nevada Caucus this Saturday or South

Carolina next week. He's reportedly focusing all his attention on March 3rd

otherwise known as Super Tuesday when voters in 14 states go to the polls.
