And we begin with big doings for the Mars Rover and the kids competing to name it.

Today, exactly one year before the spacecraft touches down on the red planet,

NASA will announce the grand prize winner for more than 28,000 student entries.

The soon to have a new name, 20 student entries.

The soon to have a new name, 20 Rover, is a 2,300-pound robotic scientist that will search

for signs of past life, study the planet's climate and geology, collect samples and paved the way for

human exploration of Mars.

Not only will the grand prize winner get to name the rover, but he or she will also be invited to see the spacecraft launch in July

2020 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

Better late than ever, the biggest and most anticipated race in the NASCAR season had to be postponed until yesterday afternoon due to pouring rain.

The Daytona 500, otherwise known as the Great American Race, started on Sunday afternoon after President

Trump took a lap around the track in his armored presidential limo and delivered the iconic

Start Your Engines Command, but drivers raced just 20 of the 200

scheduled laps before the red flag came out. It ended up being a dramatic finish

last night. Denny Hamlin made history winning for the second year in a row just 0.14 seconds in front of Ryan Blaney.

But the car driven by Ryan Newman spun out and flipped over right at the finish line, sending him to the hospital,

where he's okay but in serious condition.

Sometimes the show can't go on. That's what happened to Elton John during a performance on his farewell tour in New Zealand.

The legendary singer had to leave the stage early when he realized he had no voice left and he later revealed on

social media that he's been diagnosed with walking pneumonia.

The 72-year-old performed just a week ago at the Oscars in LA and won for Best Original Song from his Rocketman Biopick movie.
