Now, if you've been listening to this show, especially my morning show during the week, I'm sort of on the other side of the gun advocates.

I believe in, well, today it has to be sensible gun control because there's no such thing as gun control

anymore. Based on the Supreme Court decisions and state legislators, that sort of thing. California

is pretty strict, but most of the, most of the states, especially in the south, they're not.

And so let me tell you about Missouri. The Missouri State House, very Republican-led, there was a law that said that minors

could not openly carry firearms on public land without adult supervision. That was a law

that was about to kick in or had been introduced. The Republicans

voted against it. In other words, laws says that minors can't carry weapons without adult

supervision is, uh, we're not going to have that violation of second amendment now that gets kind of

interesting because uh there was uh one democrat but by the way every single republican voted

uh against this ban so uh a democrat said the police in her district asked for the change uh to

stop any 14 year old from walking down the middle of the

street in the city of St. Louis carrying an AR-15.

The police said, we don't want that.

Well, first of all, to go back to 2017, the Missouri lawmakers repealed carrying concealed

weapons requirements.

Just no longer do we want any requirements on open carry.

All right.

So the argument was minors should be able to carry weapons, including an AR-15, 14-year-olds, for example,

because any law banning that, the Republicans said, was an unneeded infringement on gun rights,

your Second Amendment.
