Today is Friday, February 18, 2022, and we begin with a French dad in hot water for trying

to limit his kid's screen time.

The unidentified father apparently had the best of intentions when he bought a WiFi scrambler

to keep his internet-addicted children from scrolling social media between the hours

of midnight and 3 a.m.

Trouble was the jammer not only blocked access to the web for his house, but for the entire

beach town of Missange in southwestern France.

When residents started to complain about the outages, the internet company investigated

and quickly zeroed in on the dad's scrambling device.

Now, as the New York Post reports, the jammer could land dad in the slammer.

In the very least, he's in for a pretty hefty fine.
