And we begin with a day off from school for you and a day off from work for many of your parents.

Today is President's Day, an official federal holiday that always falls on the third Monday of February.

It used to be called Washington's Day, in honor of George Washington, the first president of the U.S.

but was changed to President's Day in order to recognize all those who've served this country

as Commander-in-Chief.

from listening to Kid News there are now eight Democrats who'd like to be number

46 come election day in November.

The fallout from Houston's sign stealing scandal is far from over.

At least two Little Leagues in California

have now banned any of its teams from calling themselves the Astros.

According to one league president, it's hard to develop integrity and character

when you see that kind of behavior at the top level.

Some of the kids seem to agree.

11 year old player Mick Peterson said quote,

I don't think it's right to represent a team that's been cheating.

Other organizations are expected to follow suit.
