And we begin with the impeachment of President Trump likely headed for the rearview mirror.

At 4 p.m. Eastern time today the United States Senate will cast an historic final vote on whether

to convict the president on charges of abuse of power and obstruction or as expected the Roberts reads the verdict, the trial is over, but it still might not be the end of the story.

Some lawmakers are calling for a third option.

They'd like to see the President censured for his actions, which basically means he'd be officially scolded.

If you're lucky enough to live in Kansas City, you already know you're playing hooky today.

Classes were cancelled throughout the region so that kids

could be among the million or so chief fans expected to flood downtown for

today's parade for the Super Bowl Champions. If Sunday night celebration is any indication,

today's could be a doozy.

The National Weather Service says Kansas City residents

simultaneously lit so many celebratory fireworks late in the game's fourth quarter

that the flashes were picked up on its radar. What a train wreck! That was the

rare bipartisan reaction to the reporting delays in the

Iowa Caucus. When some of the Democratic results were finally released

yesterday, hours and hours late, it was Pete Buda Judge in the lead with Bernie Sanders right on his heels.

Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden trailed in third and fourth place. As of this recording, a third of the votes still need to be counted and could change who's on top and who's not.

The candidates meantime are doing what they can to spin the results in their favor, but have really shifted their energy

to the next state in the primary queue, which is New Hampshire next Tuesday.
