I'm Rhett Miller.

Now, there are any number of things that I admire about Allison Moore.

0:26.8

She's a singer, a songwriter, a producer, a writer of prose.

0:34.3

She has studied all of those disciplines, exhaustingly.

0:40.3

If I had to choose one specific area of expertise or one talent that she has that I admire, maybe more than the rest of them, I would say her attention

2:06.6

As this fall she will be releasing her first memoir entitled Blood.

2:12.6

She's made a lot of music over the years, written a lot of songs, made a lot of records,

2:19.1

produced a lot of records. It was fascinating to talk to her about all of these things,

2:26.9

about the way she approaches her creativity and her artistic life. It was really fun to get to do it in the study of her home

2:37.0

with one-eyed Willie in her lap. You'll hear about Willie pretty quickly during the course of the

2:43.8

interview. Anyway, I feel really lucky to get to have these wheels off conversations. And I feel especially lucky that I got to
