And we begin with a lesson in when not to call 911.

Even though it's only for real emergencies, a youngster from Indiana

ignored that rule to get some help with math. He told the dispatcher that he'd had a

really bad day, tons of homework, and was struggling with his fractions.

On the recording, the operator can be heard calmly talking to the boy as he works through the

problems.

Then the unidentified student apologizes for calling and says, but I really needed help.

This is the second such math emergency.

A few months ago, another youngster called 911 in Colorado

for help with division.

And while the dispatchers are happy to help when they can

police want you to know they are not responsible for wrong answers and that your

teacher is always the better option. The State of the Union speech that the President gives annually to Congress

has been rescheduled. It was supposed to happen tonight but was postponed due to the

five-week government shutdown. The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has invited Mr. Trump to give his update on the country's situation

next Tuesday, on February 5th, before a joint session of Congress and the president has agreed.

Of course that date is just 10 days before the deadline to reach an agreement on

border security to avoid another shutdown.

You may think traveling is super busy around the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas,

but that pales in comparison to the crowds triggered by the upcoming Chinese New Year.
