Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Kim.

Today is Wednesday January 16th, 2019.

And we begin with an historic vote in Great Britain making headlines around the globe.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Theresa May's plan to economically separate her country

from the rest of Europe went down in flames.

In fact, her defeat was so resounding that lawmakers are expected to take a vote of no confidence

in her ability to lead the country.

Great Britain is supposed to exit the European Union, a move known as

Brexit in two months. Yesterday's vote means politicians need to quickly rally around a

new plan, leave the Union without one, or abandon Brexit entirely.

Even celebrities don't always get what they want.

Rapper Kanya West's request for a giant dome in the middle of the desert

reportedly got him axed from a popular music festival. Yese was due to headline

Kachella this April right up until he demanded a massive custom made in the round bubble in which to perform.
