Many of you who know me, both on social media and in real life,

know that I am an animal lover.

You've likely seen me share an obnoxious amount of pictures of my three dogs and two cats.

We start pet threads on Facebook. We share funny videos of our animals doing silly things.

My five monsters even have their own Facebook page, so yeah, they're basically famous. I take my three dogs to the park

at least four times a week, sometimes twice a day. These are our babies. We even call them our fur babies. We call ourselves, their mommies and

daddies. Some of you may even be shocked to realize that I'm not only the mommy of five fur balls, but I also have a two-legged

human kid that calls me mom too.

We started our collection of pets about three and a half years ago, with my daughter wanting a puppy. A friend of hers

had a pug and a chihuahua that mixed it up and had some puppies so we ended up

with Fred. Then about six months later, a girlfriend of mine found an abandoned puppy in her backyard one morning.

And Fred, struggling with loneliness,

I'm certain of it by the way he'd cry and whine every time we left was in need of a companion.

So we agreed to take the abandoned dog in if nobody claimed him. Thus we ended up with Ricky.

A little less than a year later, we saw a sad, scared little puggish looking

mix at the dog park. I guess we must have been staring at her pretty hard because the woman who had her approached us and

asked us if we knew the dog. We did not, of course, but we told her we were admiring her because

she was so adorable.
