I'm Michael Marshall. I'm joined as ever by Cecil Cicero. And today we're going to be covering

Joe's January 2021 interview with Tulsi Gabbard. So, Cecil, how did Joe introduce Tulsi in the show notes here?

Says Tulsi Gabbard is a former United States representative, presidential candidate, and Iraq war veteran.

Currently, she serves as the leader of the Tulsi Aloha,

a political action committee. Okay, now I don't know a great deal about Tulsi Gabbard.

She's not a huge figure here in the UK. So is there anything else we ought to know about Tulsi Gabbard?

Yeah, I mean, so she's got something of a pretty interesting past. She was a member of the Hawaii

state legislature in the very early aughts. And while she was serving, she joined the National Guard.

Then she resigned her position there when she was deployed to Iraq for 12 months. Then she went to officer school and became a

lieutenant colonel. She decided to run for a seat in Congress in Hawaii in 2011 and when the person in

her district decided to run for Senate. And her district was a very blue district. So a pretty,

pretty left-leaning district with pretty, pretty left-leaning district

with a lot of left-leaning ideology.

And she wound up winning that district.

And it appears she adopted a lot of that ideology, right?
