So how did Joe introduce Andy in the show notes, Marsh?

Yeah, according to Joe, Andy Nyo is a political journalist best known for covering street protests in Portland, Oregon.

He's written columns in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and National Review, amongst others, and is an editor for Quillette.

Okay, and is there anything else we should know about?

Yeah, there is a huge amount to know about Andyineo, a lot of which will be relevant here.

So he grew up in Portland, a city that most of this conversation is actually going to be about.

He actually first made the news in 2017. He was working for his student newspaper.

And he tweeted a clip from an interfaith debate

that had been arranged where it accused the Muslim participant of saying

appur states will be killed or banished in an Islamic state, saying that look at this person

who's Muslim, here's what they say should be happening. The accompanying video actually

included the participants saying that the Quran doesn't allow you to take an innocent life

regardless of their faith or race or anything else,

but there are countries who interpret Quranic law differently,

and in those countries, you know, the panis were describing the laws in those countries

that they didn't agree with those laws,

but, you know, characterize it as them calling for death to apostates.
