We all knew Mike Vrable is going to get the head coaching job for the New England Patriots.

That was announced.

That's why I'm assuming anyway. that's why Aaron Glenn said no,

because his interview would have been basically a token Rooney Rule interview.

And so why even go?

Sometimes it's worth going through the process just to go through the process.

And I've had that conversation with young kids just in general about if you get an interview,

whether you think you can get the job or not, if you're offered an opportunity to go to an interview,

So no reason to go through that token interview, because we all knew that Mike Rable was going to get

I mentioned on Friday that we'll get dizzy if we follow every piece of coaching interview

because it's not just about coordinators becoming head coaches and position coaches becoming

coordinators, but there's other movement of these assistant coaches that you have to pay attention

to.

For example, yesterday it was announced that the 49ers had completed an interview with

Lyons assistant special teams coach Jet Modkins for their special teams coordinator position.

Now, obviously, Lions have great special teams and he's just the assistant under it.

But there's a lot of staff shuffling every single year, and a lot of guys are busy this time of
