So I was talking about chalk before we went to the Dusty May conversation.

And I know chalk is boring talking about chalk in the NC, you know,

when it comes to making your picks in the NCAA tournament.

Again, I know chalk is very boring.

And but the fact is that chalk is kind of where things are going. In the day, I would have looked at my bracket if I was really chalky. I would have gone, nah, I can't do that. Got to pick this 12 and this 12 and this 12 and this 13. And of course, I get most of them wrong. But I would feel like I had to pick some of them, and then inevitably there would be one of those upsets, and I would just pick the wrong one. Or there would be a couple of the 5-12 upsets, and I would pick the wrong two. But it feels like now that the opportunities for Cinderella, especially to go really deep in the tournament, but even for a to go on a short run,

it's going to be a lot more difficult than it used to be in the past.

Now, you know, you can point to Dusty just a few years ago, Florida Atlantic, but his team was top 20 in Ken Palm.

So we'll get to Ken Palm coming up in a little bit and how we look at and address all these

things.

But fact is, the NIL and the transfer portal didn't kill Cinderella, but definitely

put a big, made it a lot harder, made it a lot more difficult for Cinderella to stick

around in the dance in the NCAA.

Again, I mentioned this a couple segments ago.

Bench guys on major, high major teams like in Michigan

are making six figures. Bench guys, which means your bench is going to be pretty talented,

right? So when I was looking through the bracket and I was trying to figure out, you know,

where would some of these upsets, are there still some potential upsets out there? And so a few of

these jumped out of me.

And now, there kind of can be a little bit of talking out of both ends because in one

aspect, you look at analytics like a Ken Palm and you really use that as a guide.

And the teams that are at the top part of Ken Palm usually carries a lot of weight.
