I know financial conversations can be a little bit boring at times, but there was one from yesterday that came out that actually was really fascinating to me.

Matt Brown from Extra Points Online does a great job on business and sports and stuff like that.

And he did a FOIA, a Freedom of Information Act.

He foiled men's basketball budgets to the Big Ten.

He got responses from the 16 public schools.

USC Northwestern don't have to respond.

So there's only 16 responses in here.

But it's really interesting information to find out, you know, how much, what the budgets were.

These are last year's budgets.

It is your salaries and operating expenses, that kind of stuff.

And what I found to be really interesting in this, um, in this art, in this piece from

Matt Brown is, first of all, how much Indiana spent? Indiana was top on the list by at $32 million.

Michigan State was next to a little over $21 million.

Now, I understand that in the Indiana dollar figure, it includes Mike Woodson's buyout

from Indiana and Darien DeVries' buyout from West Virginia and assistant coach buyouts

as well.

So I understand that this number is an inflated number. But you talk about return on your investment and how much money

you spend. And we're going to do a compare and contrast at a moment. But Indiana, $32 million in

change the highest budget in men's basketball in fiscal year 2025. And how did that,

and how's that working out for him?
