Episode 200 - THE END. I can’t believe I’m even writing those words. What started as three guys with microphones and a shared burden has grown into something far bigger than we could’ve ever imagined — a movement of freedom, healing, and truth for thousands of people who dared to ask, “Is this really what Jesus intended?” And now… this chapter comes to a close. Episode 200 is the final episode of the Recovering Fundamentalist Podcast. This one is raw. It’s honest. It’s filled with stories, gratitude, and reflection on everything God has done over the past 6 years. It hasn’t always been easy. Relationships were tested. Seasons changed. But through it all — grace carried us. To everyone who listened, who shared your story, who supported us, who cried in the car, who finally felt seen… thank you. This is the end of one thing — but the beginning of something new. A new season is coming. A new podcast. A new voice. But the mission stays the same: To walk in truth. To live in freedom. To follow Jesus with everything we’ve got. FollowingTheWayPodcast.com will launch in 2026. Keep checking back for the website to go live soon! If the RFP meant something to you — this final episode is for you. So one last time… Let’s GO. Episode 199 – Leave a Legacy “Legacy isn’t about what you leave behind. EPISODE #197 — “Sonship” with Lynn Gibson Before you were a husband, a pastor, a provider, a screw-up, or a success… You were a son. And that identity hasn’t changed. In this powerful episode, JC sits down with Lynn Gibson — author of “ENOUGH: One Man’s Search for Adequacy” and founder of Wild Heart Adventures — to talk about what it means to live from a place of sonship, not striving. They explore: • Why so many men feel inadequate • How grace redefines masculinity • The difference between working for God’s love vs. living from it • And how to finally come home to the Father If you’ve ever wrestled with shame, performance, or the deep ache to be seen and accepted — this one’s for you. "REDEEMED FROM A BROKEN IDENTITY - GODS REDEMPTION STORY”  Because for so many of us, recovery isn’t just about what we’ve walked away from—it’s about what we’re walking toward. Healing. Wholeness. Freedom. And not just living in recovery, but moving forward as someone who’s been recovered.  I’m joined today by Sam Jones—a longtime listener of the show who’s now stepping behind the mic to share his story.(His voice however should come as no surprise. As He is the voice of our intro) And let me tell you—it’s powerful. It’s honest. And it’s proof that even after the damage of fundamentalism, there’s hope on the other side. So wherever you are on your own road to recovery, I hope this episode reminds you that you're not alone… and that there is life ahead.

Disclaimer: There is a lot of sensitive information in this episode that is not suitable for young children. In this episode, the guys confront a very sinister attack against the ministry God has called them to do. Sometimes all you have to do is wait and those who oppose the truth of Scripture will fall into their own traps. We should never celebrate when men fall, but we do not need to fail to observe what led them to their fate. Legalism is an old attack against the Gospel and it just does not work. This episode is a powerful illustration of that fact.
