Introducing: Podcrushed (featuring Eddie Redmayne)

We’re turning our feed over to one of our favorite podcasts: Podcrushed. Every week, hosts Penn Badgley (acclaimed actor from Netflix’s YOU), Nava Kavelin, and Sophie Ansari interview artists, authors, and experts to explore the tender, turbulent world of middle school, and relive the canon events of adolescence that shaped them.  From first crushes and heartbreaks, to family dynamics and identity formation, Podcrushed brings equal parts levity and gravity to every conversation, with guests like Ariana Grande, Matthew McConaughey, Jenna Ortega…and, as you’ve no doubt guessed from the title of this episode, Eddie Redmayne, the Oscar-winning actor whose Podcrushed episode we’re dropping into your feed today.  Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne takes a break from gracing the stage (and the soundstage) to bring his characteristic charm and kindness to the pod. He recalls early memories from growing up as the artsy one in a family full of athletes, and talks about his early days as a young theater actor in London, in awe of the bright lights and buzzy energy. Body Insecurity

For decades, I have struggled with accepting certain parts of my body. I worry that as soon as I walk into a room, the first thing people notice about me is what I feel most vulnerable about. As women, we aren’t used to talking about our intimate body parts because those conversations aren’t normalized – they don't feel safe or relatable. COVID Summer

I’d like to start out with the caveat that I recorded this episode during the height of having COVID. It was so challenging to collect my thoughts and feel in control of anything. Which, oddly enough, is exactly how I feel going into this summer. It’s the first summer where I’ve planned almost nothing for my kids and where they are more autonomous than ever and I’m having a hard time with that. Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves to provide the perfect summers for our kids? Let’s tawk.  Let’s Tawk contains mature themes and may not be appropriate for all listeners.    Keep up with Jaime on Twitter at @JaimePrimak and on Instagram at @jaimepsullivan. Introducing V Interesting

The producers of this series wanted to share with you another Lemonada Media series that they know you’ll love. V Interesting is hosted by V Spehar - who is out from under the desk and into your ears! They're starting off by sharing some of the headlines you may have missed this week, including exactly who’s rewriting the national reading curriculum, how Biden may have actually started the U.S. student debt crisis, and how people feel about returning to the office after working remotely during the height of the pandemic (spoiler alert: not great!) Then, a conversation with Jules Suzdaltsev, a Ukrainian-born journalist and creator of the hit TikTok show, “Good Morning, Bad News.” V and their news bestie discuss how Jules has navigated the ever-changing media landscape, why news outlets are censoring graphic content, and how citizen journalists are using social media to teach us about events like the war in Ukraine. Follow Jules’s work on TikTok at @goodmorningbadnews and on Twitter at @jules_su. Keep up with V on TikTok at @underthedesknews and on Twitter at @VitusSpehar. Let's Tawk with Belinda Carlisle

When you’re a creator  – whether a movie producer like me or a famous pop singer/songwriter like Belinda Carlisle from the Go-Go’s – the pressure to constantly make award-winning content starts to weigh you down. If you make a #1 song or a box office hit...it only gets worse. How can we actually regain control of our lives and creativity? How do we reteach ourselves where our value really comes from? Overcoming Shame

I think shame is something everybody experiences and carries. For me, it’s very different from embarrassment or guilt, even though guilt is oftentimes a byproduct of that shame. Some of us have found ourselves in uncomfortable or traumatic situations that have led to years of negative thoughts and feelings that later manifest themselves in unhealthy ways. But can we move past it all and live in the present for our own sake? To heal? Let’s tawk. Please be advised that this episode features conversations about sexual assault. Setting Boundaries

The second I feel like I’ve been hurt by someone my instinct is to just move away, and that has cost me so many relationships in my life. I’ve learned it’s far better to set boundaries. Personal boundaries are the foundation of self respect. For me, it’s easier to set them up with the newer people in my life. I think our desire to know every detail about the personal lives of celebrities is a sickness. Leaked pictures. Stolen birth certificates. Private videos. There’s no end! Jaime Revisits: Fighting Over Faith

Just in time for the holidays, we’re revisiting one of our all-time favorite episodes of Tell Me What to Do – Fighting Over Faith. At its very core, religion is about shared beliefs. Those beliefs can vary widely — like between Judaism and Islam — or largely overlap — like with Baptists and Methodists. Either way, disagreements over religion can be some of the hardest issues to resolve. In this episode, Jaime opens up about her religious journey from Judaism to Catholicism. Then, she answers questions from a listener who can’t agree with her partner about what religion to raise their children in, another who is struggling to come out as bisexual because of her faith, and a third who is fighting with her husband over what cemetery to be buried in.   FYI: Tell Me What to Do contains mature language and themes that may not be suitable for all listeners.   Please note, this show is hosted and produced by a team that does not have any clinical or other mental or physical health training. Wrinkles. Sagging boobs. Chin hairs. Let’s be honest, aging isn’t fun.
