Summary

در این قسمت از پادکست راوکست به یکی از کشورهای شرق آسیا یعنی میانمار یا برمه سابق رفتیم، دابتدا نگاهی کوتاه به تاریخچه این کشور انداختیم و سپس پنج دهه حکومت نظامیان در این کشور را بررسی کردیم و در نهایت به فعالیت های سیاسی خانم آنگ سان سوچی در این کشور رسیدیم، فعالیت هایی که سالها حصر خانگی را برای این چهره سیاسی در پی داشت و به خاطر فعالیت هایی که برای رسیدن به دموکراسی در این کشور بودایی نشین انجام داد بسیار بین مردم محبوب شد و مورد تحسین سازمان های حقوق بشری خارجی قرار گرفت. اما بعد از اتفاقات خونباری که بین بودایی ها و مسلمانان میانمار افتاد و کشتار اقلیت روهینگیا در این کشور، تصویر خانم سوچی در جوامع بین المللی مخدوش شد و این برنده جایزه صلح نوبل مورد انتقادهای بسیار شدیدی قرار گرفت و حتی برخی از جایزه های بین المللی که به خاطر فعالیت های بشردوستانه دریافت کرده بود از او پس گرفته شد
