I'm Oshvin and I'm on the phone with Brian.

And this week, we're going to be talking about the 2009 film, Zombiland, directed by Ruben Fleischer, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and starring

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. In this film,

a loner makes some new friends and goes on an adventure in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

If you're new to our show, Brian and I are going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first

10, 15 minutes, we'll just talk about the background of the movie, then we'll take a quick

break, you'll hear some music, and then we'll come back in and hit the plot, hit some spoilers,

and get into our review.

Brian, I think you mentioned this film on your top 10 zombies list episode that we did a few months back.

It had been a while since I've seen it, and I feel like maybe I even mentioned in that episode

that I couldn't quite place it

confidently in the correct spot on the list because it had been so long since I'd seen it.

But I think I probably put it somewhere between 5 and 10.

I think it's been a long time since I've seen it as well.

I feel like I saw this in theaters probably in 2009 when it came out and maybe not since.
