This week, our story revolves around the make-believe world of television.

We'll meet Nils Frederick Blixen, a middle-aged man married to his craft producing television shows.

He's preparing a new detective series called Staggot Bay,

in which his star will have exactly one half hour each week to solve a fictional crime.

Nils Frederick Blixen, a veteran of the industry, is breaking in a new casting director.

Joanna Redfron, young, bright, aggressive, a woman more prideful of her liberated status

than of her shocking red hair.

Their problem is to cast the role of co-star in the upcoming series, strictly a matter of choice.

It would have been easy if it hadn't been for one unexpected intangible fact, someone's death.

The fact is, it was murder.
