Summary
We will all lose someone close to us, and the way we cope with that is never certain. But the way Zephyr speaks about the death of her husband has been an inspiration to Fearne.
In this episode we hear stories of bereavement, raising a family on your own, and finding a happy place amongst the darkness. There's also a farting dog.

| 0:00.0 | This is Happy Place and I'm Fern Cotton. This is the podcast where we try to |
| 0:05.8 | understand what's going on in other people's heads in the hope we can learn |
| 0:09.4 | something about what's happening in ours. I'm absolutely loving making this |
| 0:14.4 | series because it's a real personal mission. It's such a joy to work on every |
| 0:19.6 | element of this series and one of the best bits is working out who I'm going to |
| 0:23.2 | talk to and how on earth I'm going to get hold of them. It's been really |
| 0:26.9 | heartening reaching out to people like Paloma Faith and Dawn French and |
| 0:31.0 | asking the questions I've always wanted to ask and hopefully that the |
| 0:34.8 | questions that you would have asked to. It's also really wonderful for me to be |
| 0:39.0 | able to reach out to talk to very wise and brilliant friends. So today we're |
| 0:44.7 | talking to a great mate of mine. You won't have heard of her but her story is |
| 0:49.3 | every bit as compelling as you've heard so far. You have to trust me on this but |
| 0:54.7 | Zephyr Waldman is going to stay with you for a very long time. Just sitting |
| 0:59.8 | with undesirable feelings is a great practice. It's creating some sort of grit or |
| 1:05.9 | heat and just sit with it because you'll learn. |
| 1:24.7 | Now a big thank you to Fever Tree for sponsoring this episode of Happy |
| 1:50.0 | Place. When you think of Fever Tree you might conjure up gorgeous images of |
| 1:55.3 | gin and tonics and long summer evenings in the garden. Yes please but they also |
| 2:02.1 | have a delicious new sparkling soft drinks range which I absolutely adore |
| 2:07.0 | because they're equally perfect for relaxing summer evenings in the garden. |
| 2:11.7 | There's an incredible ginger beer which is made from three gingers so it really |
| 2:17.7 | does have a wicked spicy old kick to it but still tastes super fresh and then |
