While we all watch and cheer and are so proud of Ukrainian resistance

to the Russians and the forces that have attacked their country,

their sovereignty, and we hope and we pray for great things for the Ukrainian people,

it just doesn't seem to be going very well. And now they're having talks, which I don't

really understand. They're meeting on the Belarus border. Ukrainian officials and Russian

officials are having, what, peace talks while the shelling continues and the war rages

on, I can't imagine a discussion where there is a bigger divide that has to be bridged than what

you have between Russia and Ukraine. Russia wants to take over Ukraine and absorb it and bring it back to what control of Russia.

Ukraine wants complete independence. So I see this and I see, okay, there's some progress being made.

They're getting together. They'll talk, whatever. And we all watch Vladimir Zelensky and his heroic actions, his courage. And we think, okay,

they're coming to the table, they're talking, but what is there to talk about? You couldn't have more

differing views. Ukraine wants complete independence. Russia wants to run Ukraine.

There's not much in the middle. There's no gray area.

Later in the podcast, we'll talk about the Major League Baseball owners and players and the negotiations going on there. And you can see with the two sides in baseball

that there are things to discuss, that there's movement, there's things

that can change. Progress can be made. They can agree to disagree on a few things, but

they'll move the ball in a certain way to where they'll eventually have an agreement.

I don't see how that happens in Ukraine. I don't see how that happens with Russia.
