President Donald Trump's new cabinet includes disruptors, negotiators, and TV stars.

And they'll be meeting for the first time today at the White House.

But the man expected to be at the center of the talks isn't officially on the cabinet.

Sources say Elon Musk has been frustrating agency leaders with his directives for federal

workers, including his email calling for all staff to send a list of their achievements

or risk getting fired.

In response, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt told reporters why Musk will be in today's

meeting. Elon is working with the cabinet secretaries and their staff every single day to identify waste and fraud and abuse at these respective agencies.

All of these cabinet secretaries are working alongside Doge.

Now, cabinet meetings are typically state affairs with brief photo opportunities at the start,

but this changed during Trump's first term.

He kicked them off by touting his administration's accomplishments, and then each member took

a turn praising the president while the cameras were rolling.
