Zechariah.

Take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us.

Today's passage comes from Zechariah 13, verse 9.

I will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested.

They will call on my name, and I will answer them.

I will say, they are my people, and they will say say the Lord is our God.

Recite God's goodness.

Faithful Lord, you never abandon your people.

Though Israel's rejection opened up our inclusion into your family, you will someday cause their hearts to turn back to you.

Thank you for including me in your family.

And I praise you for being a God who never gives up on his people.
