Smeared for opposing genocide. What a surprise. The Green Party leader, Zach Polanski,

is the only Jewish leader of a political party, certainly major political party in Britain.

If there's a minor one, not aware of it, and one of the very few Jewish leaders of a British

political party anytime in history. He's also a passionate supporter of the Palestinian people's

right to national self-determination, as well as survival, and thus an opponent of Israel's genocide.

Now, anyone who speaks out against the genocide, more broadly against Israel's apartheid,

illegal occupation, illegal colonisation, its general historic oppression

of the Palestinian people get smeared. That is an iron law of politics, and that includes

if you're Jewish. Now, Zach Polansky has been outrageously attacked by this outfit,

which calls itself the campaign against anti-Semitism.

I happen to believe that campaign against anti-Semitism is crucially important.

Indeed, a responsibility.

Anti-Semitism is a very real evil which must be fought consistently.

Unfortunately, Greeks like this strip anti-Semitism of any meaning in an attempt to monster those of us who believe that Palestinians are

human beings of equal worth, who should have equal rights. Fewer and fewer people believe these

smears anymore. It's just essentially a diminishing number of hardened cranks. And indeed,

the polling shows that a large majority of the British public believe, quite correctly, that Israel has committed war crimes, that there should be a total arms embargo

against Israel, that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, should be arrested for

war crimes and crimes against humanity, as per the arrest warrant issued against him by the

International Criminal Court. Now, the abuse of the term anti-Semitism

is incredibly irresponsible because it stops people believing that anti-Semitism exists when it does.
