Well now we're going to bring you the Gerald Moore audition for a yours truly Johnny Dollar revival.

CBS was set to do a serialized version just as they contemplated back in 1952 before going with self-contained half-hour episodes.

Moore was an interesting candidate. He is best remembered as the

voice of Philip Marlowe in the 1948 to 50 and then summer 1951 series over CBS. However, he'd start in

multiple detective series. He had played Michael Lanyard,

the lone wolf, which was a tie-in to a film role he had, and he started in the adventures of

Bill Lance, before taking on the role of Marlowe. After Marlowe, he'd actually had another detective series he starred in,

Mike Malloy, which actually turned into a serialized format before going on to the lead role

in the fourth season of foreign intrigue on television. So Moore brought a lot to

the table as a potential Johnny Dollar. So let's go ahead and we will listen to the audition. Now,

as with the John Londa audition we played a couple years ago, we essentially are getting,
