Hi, I'm so excited to be here because last time I was here in my capacity as a person who saw a movie, which is not really my title.

It was a good capacity. We recorded that that was our Oscars episode. We talked about sinners and one battle after another, I think a month before the Oscars. Yes. And the episode still holds up. Okay. Everything you said still holds up. You should be very proud. I'm thrilled because that is not really my professional job. So I'm a little nervous too because I'm like, today's about books. Today's the day. I'm a book person. What if I fail at where I'm supposed to be great? There's no scenario in which, you know, I'm so excited. You're the person for this. Of course, since it's the beginning of summer and Tracy is the person, literally before we started, I was like, have you read this book?

I thought it would be really cool if we did a summer reading episode. You know, people are planning those trips, whether you are on planes right now or, like, me, on trains. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Or on a road trip. I do feel, like, summer reading, in particular, I would say, like, vacation reading. Yes. It's a little different. So instead of doing our normal, like, what's your vibe, without giving away the books you're going to recommend, what's your, like, summer reading vibe? What do you think about when you come to that category?

I love this question because for people who don't know me, I host a podcast about books. I talk about books all the time. But my personal favorite sort of book niche is deep, dark investigative journalism.

Okay, yeah.

And many people don't think of that as summer reading, right?

They think of like, on vacation, like, woman goes to Tuscany.

It's supposed to be very, like, could Nicole Kidman?

Yes, yes.

And in fact, she did in one of the books I recommend.

But for me, I believe that a beach read and a summer read is any book you read at the beach or any book you read in the summer.
