Sisters, divas, how is your summer going?

I hope June is treating you right so far,

and I hope you're treating yourself right.

Something I love about summer,

and I know my opinions on seasons are very controversial,

as Chantelle reminds me constantly.

But I will say something I like about summer is, to me, it is a season of exploration and change.

I don't think any of us are the same at the beginning of summer as we are at the end, right?

Some shift happens, And I think it's

exciting to embrace that journey, whether it's because of learning or transformation. And so,

I hope you enjoy this conversation, and it feels very summary in that spirit. Today, we have a

special guest, writer, poet, and political strategist,

Kamone Felix. Kamoen and I have been friends for years now, and I'm saying, oh my gosh,

yeah, over a decade. And when I met Kamon, I was a poet working in a newsroom, which I'd gotten

used to, but you know, now and then people would go, huh? What are you doing in a newsroom, which I'd gotten used to, but now and then people would go,

huh, what are you doing in a newsroom? And Camon was a poet working in politics. At the time,

she was like a speechwriter in New York politics. And later, she worked for the Elizabeth Warren

campaign in the 2020 election.

And I know Kamon would also get a lot of, huh? What does poetry have to do with politics? But if you

understand that politics is about language and storytelling, you know, and framework, then poetry

is a very powerful tool. And so her new book is
