We are in a series that is more topical than normal, where I'm answering questions submitted

by listeners of the podcast, choosing those questions

that I think would be most helpful to answer for everyone to hear.

And this week I'm going to address, actually this week and next, I'm going to address

a very heartfelt question as a person was wanting to know my very heartfelt question.

This person was wanting to know my views on professional counseling.

He's, he's from, it seems like he's from a Christian, uh, tradition and culture that

looks down on the whole notion of therapy.

But he'd said that he has also heard me mention offhandedly in the podcast that I have

personally benefited from counseling, which is true.

But he has his doubts about the whole thing, not just because he's coming from a culture

that seems to look down on it, but also because apparently someone he loves

has been in counseling for years and sees, he sees very little difference in their life.
