I want you to turn to Jonah.

Jonah is one of those books that if your pages stick together, you'll never find it.

Jonah's calling was clear.

He was called as Prophet.

Prophet was a spokesperson for God in the Old Testament that foretold the revelation of God

and that foretold future events, often they would do one or the other or both.

While the Word of the Lord, according to chapter 1 verse 1, came to Jonah, the son of a Matiai saying,

arise, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry against it for their wickedness has come up to me.

But Jonah arose to flee to Tarsius from the presence of the Lord.

So he went down to Japa, found the ship which was going to Tarsius, paid the fail,

went down into it to go with them to Tarsius from the presence of the Lord.

Now, Jonah's calling was to be a prophet, but he's now been given a specific task.
