Today, we're going to take you down basic motivational psychology 101, the very basics of everything, with Maslow's hierarchy of needs. You've probably heard about this before.

A lot of ways to think about this, and a lot of the original has kind of been expanded a little bit because, you know, it just makes sense. We'll talk about that as well.

But if you understand this, you understand why a lot of times you're trying to do things, and you're stumbling, you're tripping over yourself because you haven't kept things in the right order.

I'm going to talk about that, okay? It is a daily boost from motivation to move.com, the positive boost you need every single day because why is it?

Oh, it's every day since 2006, I have gotten out of bed and said, okay, let's see what I can do to drag myself to get what I want in life to make my life what I wanted to be.

Usually, I just figure out what that is first. And once I figure that out, I really believe it and go after it. And then as we grow, and we change in our seasons of our life, there are different things that we want to do, and I just want to get up every single day and say, okay, here I am now, how do I make it happen?

And I want to do the same thing for you. That is what this thing is all about.

Every Friday, I post a question. It's a super duper scientific question. And I really mean this. I just had a conversation with a client a few minutes ago about emotional intelligence and about how to connect with people.

And he said, well, how can I really build that a little bit more? And how can I really understand that?

I said, well, you know, I'm always asking this question. How do I want to feel? And the advanced version is how do you want them to feel?

So all you have to do today is in any situation you get in, go into a meeting, go into the beach, go into a restaurant, meet up with your kids or your wife or somebody.

It doesn't really matter what it is. But if you'll pause for just 30 seconds and think, okay, how do I want to feel during this experience?

And how would I like to feel when I'm done with it? It'll change how you do things. It will. And more importantly, this is a really good place of service.

And this is great. And this is what I told him to do today. I said, before you get on the phone with anybody or on Zoom with anybody, just take a minute.

I said, well, how do I want them to feel about the outcome of this experience? What do I want from this?

It changes everything about how you deal with folks because it kind of takes a pressure off. And you feel like you're really in touch and people really get you and they understand you.
