My friend, your goals, the destination that you want to get to right now?

Your goals don't care about your past.

What a good thing to know. Now if you're in self-coaching society, you'll know that we had a call on this recently, the three steps required to reach any goal. Number one is knowing the goal, right?

So knowing what it is that you want to be do or have.

Part two, step two is acuity, which simply means paying attention.

Are you conscious day-to-day where you are in relation to your goal?

And then step 3 is flexibility. So yes, being steadfast in your goal, but remaining flexible in approaches to get there.

There are many successful ways, for example, to reach, to, sorry, to have a successful life coaching business.

There are many ways to prepare for a marathon.

There are many ways to plan your move to a new city or into a new industry or how to land that job.

Sometimes we get stuck on thinking there's just one way and then when our one way

doesn't work we think that our goal is being withheld from us.

Whereas maybe we're simply not paying attention to the results and we're not remaining

flexible in pursuit of the goal. But what I want to tell you my friend is this. If we

look at it with the analogy of literally being in a car,

inputting a destination into our navigation system,

into our GPS, our goals don't care where we've been.

Right, so if I wanted to drive anywhere from Miami,

say I wanted to drive to New York, a long drive.

My car doesn't say, oh, but we haven't done this before.

We haven't been to New York before.
