Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013 averaging about 21,000

steps a day. I'm walking right now, and I would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes.

It is a beautiful morning here in South Carolina. It's before sunrise, although there is some early daylight off to the east. The skies

are totally clear and we are looking forward to a full day of sunshine and some very mild

temperatures. Yesterday we got some rain in the area and even I went out for a walk and the

skies looked

threatening so I checked the weather app on my phone and it indicated that rain may

begin in the next 30 minutes and I thought we got time and even if the rain starts it

looks like it's going to be light rain, not heavy rain. So we headed out.

And normally, the typical walk we do is about 30 minutes. So I figured worst case scenario,

we get a little wet just as we're wrapping up. What I didn't count on was as we got deeper

into the neighborhood, seeing some neighbors that we haven't talked to in a while

and getting into a conversation.

And then other neighbors joined and we spent about 30 minutes

standing and talking, which was great.

And just as we were wrapping up, the rain started. And sure enough, it was light rain.

And Ava and I decided, we're just going to keep walking.

And so most of our walk was in this light rain.

And it stopped as we were getting back home.
