Oh, hello.

Welcome to my new home.

I'm on holiday.

And I thought you had to see it. For those on video, you had to see it. For those on audio, I'm sitting... I'm sitting on a river. Is it a river? In a tropical... I'm in a tropical paradise. I'm in the Bahamas. I'm staying at my friend's house and it's New Year's day here.

So happy New Year to you all and I suppose this is almost like a mangrove, would you say?

I'm looking down at beautiful blue water. If you can't see, if you're listening on audio,

you go to Homo sapiens pod on YouTube so you can see all of this. And it's literally

paradise. Bright blue skies, clear blue water. I'm on a little jetty. You are resting,

my laptop is resting on a canoe. I've made a little

makeshift set up and I'm going to go in that water right there after we've spoken. Because

this is not a normal episode on a Thursday. Normally it's a co-host situation but I thought we do a roundup of the year. We've done all your cultural moments. You've all been writing in with your favourite things, your worst things of the year, and have a little dive in the inbox. So that's what we're doing today. And then normal service will resume. We'll have a solo episode next week on Tuesday.
