So I've heard over the years, you know, bits and pieces about your relationship with your dad and

how he's impacted your career a little bit. Can you tell us about that relationship? And namely,

what is it that you admire most about your dad yeah that's a great question um it's weightlifting

something that's been in our family for a long time my dad started lifting as a kid he wanted to get

stronger and he's done it his whole life and then he would work out when i was a little kid and so i was

exposed to it as a little when i was you know three. And so I was exposed to it when I was, you know, three,

four years old even. He tried to get me started when I was maybe six or seven just with the brimstick

and the bar and learn a little technique. He got the videos from the 1999, 2000 worlds, the 2000

Olympics. And I would watch them.

And I thought that, you know, everyone snatched 170 kilos.

And then he bought a set of weights with the bumper plates. And I remember my neighbor and I, we were trying to move one 25 kilo plate and as little kids.
