Republicans turned on one of their own for making silly remarks in a group chat. There's a guy

called Gavin Wax, who I don't even think is a college student anymore, as far as I know, I could be mistaken. And he is one of the, at least cultural leaders of the college Republicans

who basically gave this story to Politico, turncoat, turning on a fellow college Republican

for making some goofy jokes. We'll talk about what they are in today's episode.

But everyone's talking about it because it's a reflection of the stark shift to the

right in the Overton window. Whereas five years ago, if some of these college Republicans

had gotten caught on a private group chat, making some of these jokes or remarks, they would be getting fed to the wolves.

Whereas it's not just me or other fringe dissident right people who are defending them, J.D. Vance, the president, the vice president of the United States of America has defended the goofy remarks,

or at least those ones who are making the goofy remarks, because this is a private chat.

No one had any right to betray it to Politico, and if it's privately betrayed, then you should

expect to see people making silly off-color behind-the-scenes

jokes.

People present themselves to the world in a fundamentally different way.

I don't mean it necessarily a deceitful way than they do privately when they're just talking

to their buddies.

This is a fact of the universe.

It's not, I don't mean deceit.

I don't mean where you say A to your friends and you say A prime to the world, the opposite. I mean

just, you know, you put on your best pressed pants for Sunday church. You're sitting around

hanging out, eating apps at home. You're not wearing your best pressed pants. That's what

today's show is about.
