Well, today is the day we celebrate in this country, our freedom as a nation. So happy birthday,

America. Personally, I am so grateful I get to live here

and I'm so grateful for my freedom and that because of Jesus Christ I get to live as

one of the freest of the free I'm just I'm a grateful dude today and I hope you are as

well you know freedom apart from God actually isn't very free, is it? And we've been reading

the journal of a guy who found out that truth. King Solomon was the son of David, and he reigned over

Israel from 970 to 930 BC. When he was walking with God, he was an amazing leader. He really was

the envy of other leaders and other kings. When

he was embracing the gift of wisdom that God had given him, he wrote the Song of Songs,

this beautiful, even appropriately erotic work of art describing how love ought to be

between a man and a woman. It is one of the coolest books in the Bible that talks about how

when God is in the

middle of a relationship, that love just burns like this bonfire. When Solomon was walking

with God, embracing God's wisdom, he wrote most of the book of Proverbs. In Proverbs, he tells

anyone who will listen, you've got to go after godly wisdom. Nothing you can pursue can compare to it.

Its riches are priceless.

He says things like, trust in the Lord with all your heart.
