Hey, what is up, everybody? It is Friday on the Daily Drive. I'm Mike Bro, and today we wrap up our

trip through the book of Ecclesiastes.

It is the journal of a king named Solomon who has been giving us five easy ways to wreck your life.

With remorse, regret, and repentance, we've heard him say along the way,

if you want to wreck your life, step one, let pleasure drive you.

Number two, let success consume you. Three, isolate yourself. Step 4. Reject God's wisdom. And five, just choose to be God. However, if you want to thrive and flourish all the days of your

fleeting life under the sun, then walk with your creator. Follow his ways, respect his authority, chase after him,

trust his wisdom, humbly surrender your life to him every day, and just let him be God.

It was Garth Brooks who wrote this. There are two sets of dates that they'll carve on your stone,

and everyone knows what they mean, but what matters most is the time that is known by that little dash there in between.

We got one dash, and in reality it is like a Hussain Bolt, 100 meter dash.

Life is gone in about nine seconds.

You know, I would hear old people say when I was younger,

Son, you need to cherish this time in your life. It goes so fast. And I would think to my cocky self, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just something old people say. Now that I'm old

people, let me tell you, cherish this time in your life. It goes so fast. Another old man named Moses wrote this prayer in Psalm 90,

verse 12. Teach us to number our days, to realize the brevity of life so that we may grow in wisdom.
