In February 2011, the city of Benghazi in Libya was at the center of a revolution. 42 years of dictatorial power by Colonel Muammar Gaddafi

ended in an ignominious and violent death,

captured in a storm drain and killed by his former allies.

For the past four years, Libya has been in turmoil.

Rival factions have split the country. It's all a far cry from the early dreams

of those who, supported by a NATO bombing campaign, hoped to deliver democracy in Libya after Gaddafi had gone.

But there have been periods of optimism.

Last year, 23 of Libya's finest science and technology graduates

were selected to spend a year in Cambridge University in the UK.

We're going with our luggage to Cambridge Business School.

It's an ambitious project.

The plan is that these young people will acquire the skills to rebuild their country.

This is the story of the graduate's year in Cambridge and how the reality on the ground back home

raised big question marks about

whether their dream can ever be realized.

In the weeks leading up to their departure, some of them hold a get-together with friends.

These young Libyans have, in the past few years, endured difficult times.
