all looking for their chance, all desperately trying to get to Greece.

This is the story of one of those families who fled the war in Syria and who I followed for

five weeks as they made their remarkable journey to seek refuge.

My brother is 13 years old and my sister is 22.

I'm 16 year old.

Abyan, the 16 year old, has become the unofficial spokesman for his family, as he speaks the most English.

And now it's put him in charge of navigating his family to Europe.

The most dangerous point is the boat. After it, everything will be easy.

His father, Abdur-A-Rouff, deals with the smugglers as most of them are Syrian, but they're deliberately vague.

The family has no idea when they might be going,

or for that matter, where.

There is a lot of smugglers and not all of them can be trusted.

Most of them are just robbers and they just want money.

After days of waiting, Abbyan says the smugglers have promised his father that today's the day they're leaving,
