Which of these three stories do you think is true? And which of these three stories do you think

is made up? Number one, Liz Truss is poised to re-enter the political

fray, cast herself as a visionary genius, an intellectual visionary, get the words right, and claim that

really she was just ahead of her time and it wasn't her fault that everything went so horribly wrong.

I'll say that again.

Liz Truss is poised to re-enter the political freight.

And remember that, you know, the nature of the ecosystem in this country is such that there'll be two, three, four newspapers queuing up to give her a full page to explain why she is actually an intellectual visionary.

And then they'll get someone from one of those lobby groups masquerading her a full page to explain why she is actually an intellectual visionary,

and then they'll get someone from one of those lobby groups masquerading as a think tank to write an article without telling you who pays their wages about how Liz Truss is actually right,

and the fact that she sent our mortgages spiraling ever upwards and made us the laughing stock of the entire world

is nothing to do with the fact that she's a blithering idiot

and just evidence that people didn't understand what an intellectual visionary she was.

That's story number one.

Story number two, just as the prospect of success and resolution on the Northern Irish protocol, the Northern Ireland protocol that

so many of us explained would become inevitable in the event of the Good Friday Agreement,

smashing into withdrawal from the Customs Union or Single Market, as the possibility, the vaguest

prospect of resolution hoves into view, Jacob Rees-Mogg and John Redwood have joined forces to try and blow it out of the water.

That's story number two. Even now, after seeing all of their promises come to naught, after seeing all of their assurances fall apart, after seeing all of their pledges crumble like dust,

Jacob, Bruce Morg, and John Redwood are joining forces to scupper a possible

solution to one of the biggest problems they have created, possibly the biggest peacetime problem
