Summary

Take a leap, embrace the unknown, and ask yourself, "What's the worst that could happen if I don't try a new approach to weight loss?

What have I got to lose by going all in?

Inaction and fear means there's a real cost to our overall health and mindset. This week I dive into Callie's story, which is what inspired me to do this episode. It's important to remember the immediate benefits of consistent action, even without immediate results. Failure often stems from a lack of action, so remove barriers, confront obstacles, take risks, and do the thing anyway.

Shift your focus from outcomes to the process of growth, let go of results, practice persistence, and understand that overnight success follows years of perceived failure. Measure progress, explore multiple indicators of success, and seek motivation through repetition, accountability, making action easier, rewarding progress, and fostering a community that normalizes the behaviors you want to cultivate.

Shift your focus from outcomes to the process of growth.

  • Release your attachment to results.
  • Reflect on the person you could become by consistently doing 'the thing', even without immediate results. Will you be better off than before?
  • It's all about practice and staying in the game.

🌟 Remember, overnight success often follows years of perceived failure.

  • Measure your progress, choose growth.
  • Keep track of your achievements.
  • Look beyond a single measure of success.
  • Find ways to stay motivated.

Discover the processes that drive consistent action

  • Embrace repetition and routine, establishing structured habits within your daily life.
  • Seek accountability to stay on track and ensure follow-through on your commitments.
  • Make action feel effortless by simplifying tasks and finding ways to streamline your efforts.
  • Celebrate your progress through rewards and acknowledgments.
  • Surround yourself with a supportive community that normalizes the behaviors you aspire to cultivate.

guarantee losing weight. If you are feeling frustrated and confused about where to start,

or you know exactly what you should be doing, but you just can't seem to rustle up enough

willpower to do it, then keep listening. In this podcast, you'll learn the truth about plant-based weight loss, but just as importantly,

0:42.1

how to use proven methods of behavioural change to turn what you know into lifelong habits that

0:48.3

lead to getting and staying lean.

Can't wait to get started.

Let's do this.

Music lean. Can't wait to get started. Let's do this. Hello, hello, welcome to the podcast. We're going to talk about going all in and creating a mindset

1:15.5

of, there's two things. First of all, being able to take risks, being able to try something

1:21.5

different, being able to try a different approach, not being scared of things like weight gain or when we're not seeing

1:28.4

results or reaching out for help, all of those things, getting outside of our comfort zone,

1:33.9

bringing potatoes with us, all of those kind of things, right? Taking some kind of action that is

1:38.7

going to help us to move forward. Because in that situation, worst case scenario is nothing changes. You don't lose any weight.

1:47.6

Maybe you gain weight if you're already gaining. You get ridiculed. You get laughed at. You feel

1:52.0

uncomfortable. All those things are most likely already happening. So we want to make it easier to

1:57.9

take action that is going to potentially lead to some kind of upside because

2:03.6

there's literally no risk in doing that. That's the first thing. The second thing is staying consistent

2:10.5

and continuing to do the work and the actions that are required for long-term results,

2:17.0

even when we don't see the fruits of our labours

2:20.3

in the moment. Because there are going to be so many times where we're going to want to give up.

2:26.3

And these are two very similar things on the same spectrum. One of them is you haven't started yet
