When I was in France recently, I saw my sister.

And my sister is wonderful, she lives in Italy,

she has a cool job that she really likes and as we were having a conversation one evening I

asked her if she ever still paints because when we were growing up let me tell you the sister of

mine, she was an artist. She actually once painted Van Gogh's sunflowers

right she did a copy of it and we framed it because it was gorgeous.

You know what she said to me? She said you know I thought that everyone could paint.

I thought anybody everyone could paint. I thought anybody could just do that.

And I was like, no, no, no, this is what we do as human beings.

We discount what it is that we're amazing at. We think that it's just available

and accessible to everyone. We're so quick to jump to make what's special about us not necessarily special.

And I probed a little bit, right?

I was like, do you miss it?

Do you want to do more of it? Do you ever think about it?

And look, she loves art, she goes to galleries. But at this stage, she hasn't really created

anything in a long time.

Why am I telling you this story today?

I think this is very common.

That's why.

Maybe you love to write when you were young and you haven't written anything because you've had a corporate job for 30 years or even doing something else.

Maybe you love to make music or to play music, but you haven't reconnected with that for a long time because life right there's life there's life there's having a J-O-B

...
