There's an old quote that I love that me and my mom used to repeat when we were young

we had this wisdom book called Apples of Gold and I love this quote, it said,

that the man is the richest whose pleasures are cheapest.

And I think about that in a couple of ways, right?

The man is the richest whose pleasures are cheapest number one it shows me that that person

is happy with small things right small pleasures can bring a lot of joy.

I also love that quote because I think it helps us zoom in on the fact that small pleasures

exist everywhere, every day if you open your eyes and look.

And I can tell you that you can have a very rich life with small things and I want to give you a couple of

examples now. I spoke to a friend of mine who is, let's just say wealthy, let's just say it, she is a very wealthy lady and she

gives a lot of her money away.

She is a big donor, a big philanthropist.

And when I asked her, you know, what gives you the most pleasure?

I was thinking that she would share with me her creative voice or how she kind of taps

into, you know, the truth of who she is so she can continue to expand.

She said her biggest pleasure is coffee in the morning on her

her wrap-around porch with her husband.

Now, maybe you do or don't have a wrap-around porch,

but you can have coffee with someone you love or alone be present have a few moments

to yourself maybe before the world wakes up before all the craziness sets in. She said that is her biggest pleasure. A couple more things.
