Good morning, everyone. And welcome back to another morning with the masters. We're

devoted ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning, you guys. Good morning. Indeed.

If you notice our voices are struggling because we just had the best baby shower and talking

to so many lovely people and all that. And so with that, we're actually going to take a one day

break from our Bible at plan called live no lies. And we're going to do a devotional from

live on purpose. And then tomorrow we'll be back with day six of live no lies. Yes, we're excited.

You ready to jump in? I am. So today's devotional is titled not a copy. And the scripture is

Genesis 127 that says, God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God, he created

them male and female. He created them with so many people all searching for identity.

We need to be reminded that we are all created in the image of God. We are his original masterpieces.

So I really want you to understand what the word original means and how it applies to comparison.

So original as an adjective, one means present or existing from the beginning. First or earliest

created directly and personally by a particular artist, not a copy. Do you see the end of the

second definition? You're not a copy. So let me ask you this. What is it that drives us to

compare ourselves with others? Yep, it's usually the desire to copy or imitate someone.

Someone we think is prettier, smarter, more athletic, more popular, more pulled together.

We are created to live in community with other people and to bless one another. But we can end

up cursing one another because we are busy comparing instead of celebrating the good in one another.

That's not God's plan. God designed and crafted each of us with amazing individuality.

God saw no need to compare one of us with another one because you are one of a kind.

There's no one else on earth like you. There is something of the image of God in you.

Comparison is a tool of the enemy. It is not of God. What's good about another person
