There are two ways to get in trouble as a Christian.

One is to do what everyone else is doing.

Who does that get you in trouble with?

God.

The other is to do what God says and that gets you in trouble with everyone else.

The question is not, will you get in trouble? The question is, who will you get in trouble with and what will you get in trouble for?

See some of you are people pleasers. Let me just say this. The Bible says and I'm

quoting it you cannot please God and man.

You can't.

So if you're a people pleaser, you just sort of need to have the funeral

for your people pleasing.

And then you gotta decide,

I'm gonna offend him or I'm gonna offend them.

And what he says is,

there's not only two ways to get in trouble,

there are two ways to respond when you get in trouble. One is to pull into your

heart fear of them. Fear of them. Fear of them means you're worried about what they're going to say. You're worried about

what they're going to do. You're worried about what it's going to cost you. This is our whole council culture, social shaming. This is just the

constant buzzing of the swarm on social media and in media just coming

together to see who we can pressure so that they will deny what they believe, that they will deny what they believe,

that they will change what God has said,

that they will make adjustments and accommodations

...
