In any group, this can be your family, your friends, our church family, you can have unity of mind without having total agreement on everything.

Unity of mind comes around a few things. Number one, the relationship matters more than the

issues. It does. It does. Whatever issues are going on, those are important, but

the issue that really is most important is the relationship.

And what we're seeing now is on almost any issue,

the sort of outrage of the moment,

people are burning their relationships to the ground

over an issue, and eventually the issue is not going to be quite such a big deal

Therefore the relationship should always be the big deal

Always be the big deal.

Another way that we have unity of mind

is something that I call open-handed versus closed-handed issues.

Close, these things are really important.

So for us who are Christians, the Bible is true. Jesus is God. Forgiveness of

sin and eternal life only come through Jesus. Secondary issues. Political

party, where you're at on all kinds of social issues, all of these

secondary things. They're not unimportant, but they're certainly not this important because

different people who believe different things are still going to be with you in heaven

forever if they agree on these things.

Therefore unity of mind is well you know these are the things that we do agree on this makes us

spiritual family we're going to be together forever so let's dialogue let's
